training
youth ministry certification program
Because nothing happens without a leader
This program is a unique, holistic strategy to educate, equip and encourage youth
workers in their first five years of youth ministry leadership. It is based
on Youth Leadership’s 40 years of graduate level teaching at Bethel and Luther
Seminaries. The program includes intensive classes, a personal Leadership
Coach and a peer learning community.
3 questions to ask regarding leadership development.
1. What do you need to KNOW as a leader?
2. What do you need to be able to DO in ministry?
3. What kind of person do you need to BE for an effective long-term ministry?
These
components are addressed through Youth Leadership’s intensive courses, a Bible
course elective at a local college or seminary, your contextual experience, leadership
coaching, peer support networks and additional growth, training and networking opportunities.
Youth Leadership is committed to the spiritual growth and character of each student.
The 18 month program provides a relational environment for leadership development
through excellent classroom instruction combined with leadership coaching and peer
community elements unlike any other youth ministry training programs out there.
This certification program will guide you toward growth in knowledge, skills and
personal development.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE YOUTH MINISTRY CERTIFCATION PROGRAM:
“It has been an absolute joy and honor to be a part of the YMCP pilot program. Each class was packed full of insight, useful tools and immediate application ideas. I cannot thank you enough for offering this program outside the seminaries. The wisdom, humility, sense of humor and obvious love for God and the youth in the crazy world by Tiger and each of his presenters should be a model for all of us to aspire to in youth ministry.” Bridgett Frodsham, Issaquah, WA
“I loved the ability to network with other youth workers who are in the trenches, not just in class talking theory. The size of the classes are helpful compared to the conference experiences where there is no process time and “now what” discussion built in.”
