Youth Leadership has always believed in coming alongside of leaders in youth and family ministry. A new way to help us achieve this goal is Ministry Coaching.
We want to help you get to a new level in your ministry, to better know yourself and understand your sense of calling. We don’t offer simple solutions or easy answers. We don’t set the agenda. Tiger McLuen and Youth Leadership’s Associates will listen and help you gain confidence, clarify your career path, enhance relationships and work through the barriers you are experiencing.
Sometimes, life gets so busy that we can’t see what the next steps could be. Coaching enables you to see different alternatives and to take a step back and actually examine your life and all of its parts.
Rather than actually TELLING someone the answers, a Ministry Coach serves as the catalyst for equipping you to uncover the solutions you already know to be true. By asking challenging and thought provoking questions, a Ministry Coach can help unlock your potential.
In 2011-12, Youth Leadership will offer four coaching opportunities to help you get where you need to be:
Group Coaching: Emerging leaders
If you have fewer than 4 years of ministry experience, you will benefit from being shaped by like-minded peers and the wisdom of an experienced coach. This process will help you grow as a leader, build clarity about your future and identify those things that are getting in your way.
- A small group of no more than 6 leaders will meet bi-monthly for 3 hours during the school year to share issues, concerns and barriers they are experiencing. Tiger will help process these issues and give insights and application opportunities.
- Twice during the year, Tiger will hold a 30 minute individual phone session with each member of the group.
- Cost for the year is $600
Group Coaching: Trainer of Trainers
This group is for experienced leaders whose leadership involves shaping and building up others on the team—either other staff or a volunteer team. This might be a denominational leader or a youth worker in a larger church context.
- A small group of no more than 4 leaders will meet during the school year for 3 hours every other month, for a total of 4 sessions. They will share issues, concerns and barriers they are experiencing. Tiger will help process these issues and give insights and application opportunities.
- Twice during the year, Tiger will hold a 30 minute individual phone session with each member of the group.
- Cost for the year is $600
GROUP Coaching: YOUR LEADERSHIP TEAM
This group will be crafted by you to meet with Tiger and his Associates for 3 meetings. You will determine who will be a part of this group, set the agenda, identify the issues to discuss and work towards naming a new future. These meetings will help shape your thinking about ministry in YOUR context. Each meeting will be up to 90 minutes long.
The cost of 3 group sessions is $450.
Individual Coaching: Just for you
Create your own model! A minimum of 3 sessions will be scheduled with a coach who will walk with you through the concerns, ideas, and issues you want to address. These meetings might be in person or over the phone depending on coach and location. This process will help sharpen you as a leader. A per session fee is charged.
ON SITE COACHING FOR YOUR CONGREGATION
Youth Leadership will help your congregation understand the elements needed for exemplary youth ministry. We assess your current ministry to teens and their families and present the findings to your church. We then assist you in developing an action plan for improving your ministry. This includes vision casting, program development, a strength/weakness measurement and a look into future trends in youth ministry.
We don't give you a prepackaged program or leave you out to dry. We work hand-in-hand with your individual church and custom tailor everything we do to fit the specific needs of your congregation. Email for more information
