This program is a unique, holistic strategy to equip and encourage youth workers in their first five years of youth ministry leadership. It is based on Youth Leadership’s 40 years of seminary experience at Bethel and Luther Seminaries. It includes intensive classes, a personal Leadership Coach and a peer learning community.

The YMCP seeks to integrate these elements into your leadership context. We believe there are three questions to ask regarding leadership development.

1. What do you need to KNOW as a leader?

This component is addressed through the Youth Leadership intensive courses and a Bible course elective.

2. What do you need to be able to DO in ministry?

This component is addresses the practical skills needed in ministry. It is addressed through the intensive courses, contextual experience and Leadership Coaching.

3. What kind of person do you need to BE for an effective long-term ministry?

   This component addresses the personal spiritual formation. Youth Leadership is committed to your  
   spiritual growth and character of each student. This is addressed through peer support, Leadership 
   Coaching and growth opportunities.

This program will provide a relational environment for leadership development. The 18 month program offers excellent classroom instruction but adds the Leadership Coaching and peer community elements unlike any other youth ministry training programs out there. The experience will guide you toward growth in knowledge, skills and personal development.
